Privacy Policy
Boomerang (“Boomerang”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Centric Group LLC. Boomerang helps brands run athlete, ambassador and community programs. This policy explains what we collect when you use boomerangapp.co and the Boomerang app, and how we use it.
Who this covers
Brands that sign in with their Shopify store; athletes who apply to or join a brand’s program; members who join a brand’s community; and Boomerang team members who sign in to our control center.
What we collect
- Account details you give us: name, email, social handles, profile photo, bio, and what you share in applications.
- Store data from Shopify, when a brand connects its store: products, discount codes, and orders and customer name and email where needed to credit sales to athletes and reward members.
- Activity: links and codes used, sales and rewards credited, content you upload, and sign-in times.
- Instagram, Facebook or Google sign-in (athletes): your name, username, profile photo and follower count, and your email where the service shares it. Brands that connect Facebook also share their ad account, page and ad results so Boomerang can run and report partnership ads.
- Google sign-in (Boomerang team only): your name, email address and profile photo. We don’t access your Gmail, Drive or any other Google data.
- Technical data: cookies that keep you signed in and remember your light/dark setting, and standard server logs.
How we use it
- To run the programs brands set up: credit sales to athletes, pay commissions, issue rewards and show dashboards.
- To review brand and athlete applications and keep the platform secure.
- To send emails you’d expect, like sign-in links, approvals and program updates.
We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
The brand whose program you join sees your profile and activity in that program. We use service providers to host and run Boomerang (for example Render for hosting, Supabase for file storage, and Shopify and Google for sign-in); they process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep data while your account or the brand’s program is active. When a brand uninstalls the app we delete its store data as Shopify requires, and we honor Shopify customer data and deletion requests.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us. Step-by-step deletion instructions are at boomerangapp.co/data-deletion. Members and athletes can also contact the brand they joined.
